One of my favorite things to do is to paint nursery murals for babies. I love to work with the parents to be in creating a space they’ll love. Such a nice way to welcome this new child into their family. Every one is different, and challenge in new ways.

This Royal Oak, Michigan nursery is one of the tiniest I’ve ever worked in. The parents to be wanted a jungle theme nursery mural with a list of animals and features in a kind of realistic cartoon-ish design.  I loved the idea, but the list of animals they wanted were more of the savannah type than jungle, and the color scheme of the room fit better with the colors of the savannah. So, we agreed to place the animals in a more natural environment.

The crib will be placed here in this corner, just at the bottom edge of the mural, and it is visible from the doorway of the room, great placement to set the theme of the room. With the addition of some cute accessories and bedding, it will be amazing.
