train wall murals by Ellen Leigh

I’ve been working on the Railroad!

Little boy’s rooms are so much fun to do! This little boy adores trains, just like his Daddy, so here are some photos of the train wall murals I painted in his room this week.

Right across from the door, this train is the first thing seen as you enter the room. Furniture will sit under the mural covering the lower part of the walls, so there was no need to extend the work any lower.

This Railroad Crossing sign has feet and inch marks on it’s pole for keeping track of the boy’s growth.

On the side wall is a road with crossing gates, cars approaching. I included hills in the background, lots of grass, trees and shrubs all around the room.

Above is a close-up view of the train in this train wall mural. I used lots of common train logos and a red caboose. Each car is a different color- mine is the yellow one just before the caboose for my signature and palette logo.
Other features included but not shown are a rocket ship, a bright sun over the closet doors, and of course some glow in the dark stars and moon for bed time.
